Alien Troublemaker Gotcha

This is a “slice-of-life meets monster-of-the-week” OC project with an “A plot” and “B plot”. The main plot (AKA the “A plot”) is about Gotcha, an alien exiled from his home planet, adjusting to life on Earth. The secondary plot (AKA the “B plot”) is about Cadet, another alien who comes to Earth for a “research project” and has to protect it from whatever comes to threaten it. These stories are told largely through comics and art pieces.

Inspired by various things such as magical girl anime, various 90’s and 2000’s games (notably SEGA games like Sonic and Jet Set Radio), and various styles and aesthetics that were popular in the 90’s-2000’s with a hit of 80’s.

Generally, it has a “2000’s Saturday morning anime” vibe (think 4Kids but hopefully better)

This is also a more open-ended project, so while there’s a “story”, it’s not very in-depth (and open for crossovers)

World

The world of ATG is a sci-fi world set in modern times. Many planets full of alien life exist, but only a few are important to the overall story.

  • Earth: Pretty self-explanatory.
  • Sunshine City: The city this project takes place in. It’s located somewhere in the USA, and is a popular tourist spot in the summer
  • The Mellow Isles: An Archipelago and one of the few places on Earth where aliens are known. It’s exact location is unknown

    Story Overview

    Gotcha's story ("A Plot")

    Gotcha's story is a more slice-of-life, "fish out of water" story where he learns more about and adjust to Earth life

    Cadet's story("B Plot")

    Cadet's story is a more "magical girl" type story where she has to save Earth from whatever strange creatures try to invade as she learns more about Earth for her "research project".
